Best Blenders for Frozen Fruit – Our Reviews
Ninja BN801 – Best Overall
The first one on our list is the Ninja BN801, a powerful and versatile blender for frozen fruit, perfect for any household. Besides its beautiful design, this is one of the “best blender for frozen fruit” types that keeps in mind efficiency in several different ways. First of all, it is quite powerful running at 1400 watts of power. Secondly, it comes with a ton of accessories that makes it easy to adjust serving size. It’s great for individually frozen fruit smoothies to take on the go, or for a frozen treat for the whole family. It comes with: one 72 oz pitcher, one 64 oz pitcher, two 24 oz cups, and several spout lids for on the go use. It’s also very versatile and can assist in making a number of recipes including: salsas, dips, mixed drinks, and even cookies! Now, what about frozen fruits? It definitely can chop up frozen fruits with the amount of power it offers. It has not gotten stuck on me and is efficient enough to crush ice and frozen fruit. It comes with many settings so you can get your desired outcome. It’s on the pricier side, but definitely a high-quality product.
What We Liked:
- Very powerful for ice and frozen fruit
- Comes with several accessories
- It is programmable
- Easy to clean
What We Didn’t Like:
- On the pricier side
- Need storage space for the large pitcher
NutriBullet ZNBF30500Z – Best Overall Runner Up
Next, we have another wonderful blender for frozen fruit, the NutriBullet ZNBF30500Z. It is also very powerful, coming in at 1200 watts of power, you are sure to crush your frozen goods quickly for a nice, smooth textured drink. This nifty little blender also comes with several accessories such as: one 64 oz pitcher, one tamper, one 32 oz cup, one 24 oz cup, and two to-go lids. Again, this makes it easy to adjust your serving size to just you or your family. It comes with several speed settings and a pulse function, perfect for making chunky salsas. Though the focus is on frozen fruits, it’s good to acknowledge that the high power stainless steel blades also means you can be versatile with your recipes. It’s a nice blender for frozen fruit smoothies, but also decent for trying out new recipes. I liked trying out frozen fruit smoothies as well as green smoothies because it was able to blend some of the leafy greens. The tamper that is included also adds to the versatility as some recipes call for one. Overall one of the “best blender for frozen fruit” models that pay for itself in no time.
What We Liked:
- Can get the thinnest of greens
- Comes with several accessories
- Great for portability
What We Didn’t Like:
- Very noisy
- Smaller cups feel cheap
Cleanblend Commercial Blender – Best Value
The Cleanblend Commercial Blender is our most powerful blender for frozen fruit on this list with 1800 watts of power. It is one of the best blender models ready to easily chop down those frozen fruits. This product is simple in design and great for saving you time. Perhaps you love sleeping in as much as you can and rushing your several minutes to work. There is no judgment as I do the same, but this blender won’t punish you for sleeping in. You can have your morning frozen fruit smoothies ready in no time. With lower powered blenders, you have to wait for the fruit to defrost, or slowly add in some ice and frozen fruit at a time. Not with this blender. It crushes everything. Surprisingly for its power, the noise level isn’t too bad. It’s still a blender, so yes it’s going to cause some disturbance in the morning, but it is not extra noisy. It is sure to be a long-lasting product as it comes with a 5-year warranty. On top of that, if you find that this blender is not for you, they offer a 30-day return policy for a full refund. You get a strong blender with nothing to lose. So why not try it?
What We Liked:
- 5-year warranty with a 30-day full refund
- Extremely powerful and fast
- Quickly crushes ice and frozen fruit
- Chops leafy greens well
What We Didn’t Like:
- The base can rust overtime
- Speed settings don’t feel too different
NutriBullet NBR-0601 – Easiest to Use
For those who are just lost in how to use a blender, we present to you the NutriBullet NBR-0601. It is probably the most recognizable blender from the NutriBullet brand known for its convenience and size. It is not our most powerful blender coming in at 600 watts of power, but there are many other perks that come with it. One pro is that it is all around one of the best blender types perfect for beginners. What’s not to love? This product is easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to store. Though not intuitive at first, I think it is important to explain that it is easy to use because of its lack of settings. There are no pre-programmed features and you cannot adjust the speed of the stainless steel blades. With that said, it’s great for those who don’t even understand what the setting is for. Now I do love this blender, but I do admit that the power difference is evident. I have to let my frozen fruit defrost a bit, or I have to make sure I have a lot of liquid when I’m making frozen fruit smoothies. It has gotten stuck on me before, so I do warn you that it’s not super powerful like the other. Yet, it can still take on frozen foods and ice crushing, but in moderation. I still recommend this product as I think it’s convenient and affordable.
What We Liked:
- Easy to use and clean
- Portable
- Compact
What We Didn’t Like:
- No settings to choose from
- Lacking some power for ice crushing
Vitamix E320 Explorian – Pro’s Pick
Our last best blender on the list is the Vitamix E320 Explorian. We just got done reviewing a beginner-friendly blender, but now it’s time to move to a blender for our more advanced users. I want to start by saying that this blender is a bit more expensive compared to our other blenders, but this is one of our top of the line blenders. It is a high quality, high powered, and professional-grade blender. It is one of the best blender models that easily crushes through the ice and frozen fruit. This is definitely for at-home use and unfortunately, it does not come with accessories like to-go cups, so you may need to purchase that separately. What it can do for you is diversify your kitchen and add new flavors to your life. It contains a unique fictions heating feature that helps bring cold ingredients to steaming hot if you so desire. Now you can let those frozen apple slices heat up for a delicious apple pie. The last thing I want to mention is its awesome warranty plan. Though pricey, you can expect it to pay for itself as it comes with a 7-year warranty. This is one of the best blender models that can last over a decade.
What We Liked:
- 7-year warranty
- Versatile and powerful
- Several settings to choose from
- Easy to clean
- Unique stainless steel blade friction heating
What We Didn’t Like:
- On the pricier side
- Does not come with accessories
How to Pick the Best Blender for Frozen Fruit for You
So we went over some awesome and not so awesome features of each best blender for frozen fruit, but now it’s time to take a look at what you are looking for. Not all blenders are built the same and not all people want a new blender for a new reason. Here are some factors you should be considering when making your next investment.
Power – Which Fruits do You Plan to Blend
So most of these blenders are considered high power and you definitely need that when blending frozen fruits. A general rule I like to follow is that they should have at least 500 watts of power as that is typical for any household blenders. Once we start getting up to the 900 and 1000s watts of powers, they start getting stronger and fancier. The only blender on this list that I would consider a little weaker is the NutriBullet NBR-0601, but we kept that on the list because of all the other wonderful features it has to offer. Besides, it does really well with fruits like frozen berries. With that being said, power and frozen goods go hand in hand because crushing cold treats is not always efficiently done with a blender.
What does your diet mostly consist of? If you plan to make green smoothies, then you want something that can chop down fine, leafy greens. No one wants to drink a smoothie and go the whole day with a piece of spinach on their teeth. Typically a high-powered blender can get those thinner greens. Then there are hard fruits like frozen mango slices. For something tough like this, I think 1000 watts should do the trick. Just keep in mind that some frozen foods are easier to chop than others for different reasons. Based on that, you can determine if you need a high powered blender like the Cleanblend Commercial Blender, or if the small NutriBullet will do the trick on smaller frozen foods.
Speed and Other Settings
Assuming you want to find one of the best blender models that does well with frozen fruits, you may want something quick if you are just looking for a pick me up smoothie. Speed is a factor that I take into consideration because of convenience. I don’t want to waste my time in the morning getting up extra early because I have a low efficient blender. Most of our blenders on this list come with several speed settings so you can get your desired texture or so you can rush through the morning with little punishment. The only exception is the NutriBullet NBR-0601, but that is due to the fact that it is very beginner-friendly. Honestly, not everyone needs those fancy settings. I didn’t need them which is why I owned this blender for some time. It’s just important to consider whether or not you need these settings in order to create a recipe or go on about your day with ease.
Size and Material
The last factor I want to touch upon is size. Are you blending these frozen fruits for yourself, or are you looking to make a big recipe for the whole family? Do you have enough room on your counter, or are you going to need to store the blender in a cabinet? Let’s talk about pitcher size first, and then the material of the blender. Some of these blenders come with very large pitcher sizes like that of the Ninja BN801 that comes with a 72 oz pitcher. I would love something that big when I host big events for my family, but not everyone is the host in their family, or rather, they live alone and just need something for themselves. We love that some brands have additional accessories that let you adjust to your home needs. Whether it’s a quick treat for yourself or a surprise dessert for the family, you don’t have to be limited in options. Besides the pitcher size, it’s also important to gauge the overall size including the base. I don’t have a large kitchen counter, but I do have plenty of storage space. This works out for me and lets me be more open in my options, but not everyone has that same luxury. You want a blender that doesn’t disturb your cooking and can fit easily in your kitchen. Not many people think about that in advance, but kitchen appliances add up and do take up lots of space.
We talked about pitchers a bit too and I want to emphasize the material of the pitchers. There are cheaper and higher-grade plastics, and there are also glass and stainless steel pitchers. My mom is old school and prefers glass pitchers. She believes they last longer and are more durable. I wouldn’t say she is wrong and I do appreciate them since I never had to replace my glass pitcher. They can just be a little scary to handle and are pretty darn heavy. When I was in college, I had a cheaper build plastic pitcher that lasted me between 1-2 years. For its price and convenience, it didn’t bother me at all. Now that I got more familiar with blender, my personal preference is the stainless steel pitchers. Stainless steel pitchers are just so easy to handle and come with a great number of benefits. Stainless steel shouldn’t stain easily nor crack easily. Stainless steel is also easy to clean and more durable than plastic and glass. So in terms of material, it’s just a matter of preference and how long you expect to stay with your blender. Many plastic ones are cheaper, but our top picks are stainless steel or come with stainless steel blades.

This next blender is not for the faint of heart. Our “pros” pick was the Vitamix E320 Explorian. This blender is built with the intent of attracting experienced users who use a blender pretty frequently. Best overall pick
Before we get to our best overall pick, let’s talk about our honorable mentions. The NutriBullet ZNBF30500Z was our “best blender for frozen fruit runner up overall.” It’s an impressive blender whose only real reason for not being our top choice was just due to the fact the other offers a bit more. This wonderful kitchen appliance offers several accessories, adjustability in size, and adjustability in speed. It’s quite noisy, so it’s best for at-home use, but otherwise not a problem. It’s powerful and can easily handle frozen fruits and vegetables. I’ve used it for acai bowls and it just left me feeling completely satisfied. I’m sure you will get the same feeling too when you get your hands on a frozen treat.
Finally, our “best blender for frozen fruit overall was the Ninja BN801. It performed exceptionally well and proved to be a top of the line blender with its power, features, and high-quality material. We picked this blender because it offered more diversity, opening more possibilities in your kitchen. There are several auto settings that work for making smoothies, juice extracts, and even making dough. I also enjoyed making a mixed drink as it gave my margarita a texture of one you would find in a restaurant. I can’t forget to mention all the accessories that come with this blender. You can turn family cookie night into a mixed drink party for two. It is definitely a high-end blender that can do whatever task it is given.
Wrapping Up
Hopefully, you found something to your liking and understand a bit more about blenders. Don’t hesitate to make that switch if you are tired of your frozen fruits constantly getting stuck under the stainless steel blades of your blender. There is something out there for everyone that is sure to meet their desires and lifestyle.
